Neha Sandhu Named Red Hat’s 2018 Certified Professional of the Year
Sandhu honored for thought leadership and innovation using Red Hat
technologies, including Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
SAN FRANCISCO - RED HAT SUMMIT 2018--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Red Hat, Inc. (NYSE: RHT), the world's leading provider of open source
solutions, today announced that Neha Sandhu, senior support engineer at
Spark New Zealand, has been named the 2018 Red Hat Certified
Professional of the Year. The annual award honors a Red Hat Certified
Professional (RHCP) who demonstrates ingenuity, hard work and expertise,
and will be presented to Sandhu at Red Hat Summit 2018, currently taking
place in San Francisco.
Sandhu is both a Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator (RHCSA) and a
Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE). At Spark, she used her expertise to
help modernize and containerize its legacy applications and was key in
its transition to DevOps
and agile methodologies. Sandhu took the initiative and built a Spark
internal Innovation Lab on Red Hat Technologies and used knowledge she
gained from Red Hat Learning Subscription to introduce new technologies
within Spark. Through Sandhu’s efforts, Spark is also now seeing success
using a range of Red Hat technologies including Red
Hat Enterprise Linux, Red
Hat Virtualization, Red
Hat CloudForms, Red
Hat OpenStack Platform, Red
Hat OpenShift Container Platform, Red
Hat Gluster Storage, Red
Hat Ansible Automation, Red
Hat Satellite and Red
Hat Insights.
For the last 19 years, the Red Hat Certification program has had a
single goal of building and validating skills through a program with
rigorous, hands-on, and performance based testing. Red Hat’s
certifications can help system administrators, application developers,
and IT architects advance their careers and help close the skills gap
facing the IT industry. RHCE, and all the programs that followed,
establish benchmarks for what an IT professional should know when using
Red Hat technology.
